Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents alike. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Higher rate of pay for live out staff.
Responsibilities
* Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
* Ensure all rooms are well-maintained and stocked with necessary supplies.
* Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing as required.
* Assist with cooking and meal preparation when necessary.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately.
* Follow established health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
* Previous janitorial experience is essential; hotel experience is highly desirable.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
* Basic cooking skills to assist in meal preparation when required.
* Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is an advantage.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
