Assistant Site Manager – Barratt Redrow
Joining Barratt Redrow as Assistant Site Manager will give you an opportunity to take part in a broad portfolio of construction projects across the UK, managing everything from material procurement to health and safety, quality and customer service.
What you’ll be doing
In the construction environment you will support Site Manager in delivering projects across approximately 400 developments in towns and rural areas, working on new builds, brownfield sites and facility conversions.
You will assist in ensuring that programme, quality and cost targets are met, by effectively managing the site team and subcontractors, coordinating trades, direct labour and materials, attending sales/build meetings, conducting show‑home inspections and, when required, deputising for the Site Manager.
Responsibilities
* Support the Site Manager in coordinating trades, direct labour and materials to meet the production programme
* Work in conjunction with the Sales Team, ensuring all Sales/Build procedures are adhered to, and inspections of all show homes are carried out
* Accept responsibility for duties as determined by the Site Manager, including deputising when required
* Ensure that the on‑site construction team is fully resourced, well‑directed and supported in communication, training and workload organization
* Deliver excellent customer service to customers in line with company guidelines
What you’ll need
* Experience of working within established build programmes
* Assertiveness to ensure delivery of targets by the on‑site team and trades/labour
* Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs
* Membership of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or NVQ level qualification in Construction Management or a seasoned tradesman with extensive construction trade experience
* In‑depth knowledge of all aspects of construction trade and relevant legislation e.g., Health and Safety, NHBC requirements and Building Regulations
* Good knowledge, understanding and experience of dealing with all issues relating to Customer Service
