Responsibilities
* Participate in the on‑call urology service with a frequency of 1:8 and cover planned and unexpected absences.
* Provide outpatient clinics at Frimley Park Hospital, Heatherwood Hospital (Ascot), Fleet Hospital, Farnham Hospital and Aldershot Centre for Health, and may be required to work at any of these sites.
* Supervise undergraduate students and nondeanery trainees, teaching and training undergraduate and postgraduate staff, and obtain relevant training qualifications to allow clinical and educational supervision.
* See new patients primarily with haematuria and TCC of the urinary tract, and men with possible prostate cancer in dedicated clinics with assistance of residents and CNSs.
* Maintain expected new‑to‑follow‑up ratios, see follow‑up outpatients, and operate on patients from the own and pooled waiting lists.
* Be available to work at any facility that the Trust owns, leases, or manages.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Applicants must be on the general GMC Register and either on the Specialist Register or be within six months of CCT at the time of interview.
* Consultant Urological Surgeon with 10 programmed activities.
* Experience in leading bladder cancer service and being a key member of the prostate cancer team is required.
Work Locations
Post offered predominantly at Frimley Park Hospital, with additional duties at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust facilities.
