Job purpose - To manage the operational functioning of a given saleroom throughout the Auction Cycle. To maintain the most efficient working processes and to drive for continuous improvement through the motivation and development of the Porters and Team Leaders associated with that sale room.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all Team Leader Responsibilities
* Stock allocation and security
* Management of vendor manifests and reporting
* Responsible for all vendor referencing, de-branding and labelling
* Responsible for solds/not solds vendor accountability, allocation and re-entry
* Data input – typing, vendor referencing, descriptions, RRP's
* Oversee saleroom set up and hand out
* Control of lot composition/value/location
* Handing out data entry and reporting
* Arranging break allocation, working methods and practices
* Responsible for saleroom and staff health and safety
* Responsible for saleroom and site environmental policies/waste management
* Site housekeeping
Extended Operational Responsibilities
* Lot and sale forecasting/target allocation and budgeting
* Photography and photo suite allocations
* Customer queries, complaints, refunds and replacements
* Stock control
* Good stock and vendor knowledge
* Site/saleroom security and lock up
* Vendor/sale/photo and description checks and sign off
* Saleroom planning
* Staff Allocation
* Utilise the Performance Dashboard for Saleroom planning and Staff allocation
* Follow up on any actions necessary when monitoring outputs from Performance Dashboard (i.e. recognition or improvement discussions)
People Development
* Training – toolbox talks
* On the job training for new staff
* Back to work Interviews / other investigations
* Complete probationary reviews
* Complete diary entry and discussion logs where improvement is required
Other
* First aiders/ forklift license holders
* Proficient in Microsoft word/excel/outlook
Qualification, Skills & Experience required:

* Experience of working within the John Pye Sales Room environment is advantageous

· Monday: 8:00am – 7:30pm
