People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Smethwick, West Midlands .

Shifts: • Monday to Friday – Day shifts
Rates of Pay: • £16.00 per hour – Days • £17.00 per hour – Nights

Day-to-Day Duties: • Carry out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball) • Operate and drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensure all loads are safely and securely fastened • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues to management • Assist with loading and unloading where required
Essential Skills: • Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving C+E vehicles • Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six points for minor offences (no major endorsements) • Good level of written and spoken English • Excellent punctuality and time management • Strong understanding of UK road transport regulations • Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience: • Previous experience with commercial vehicle deliveries • Experience in multi-drop operations
Training Provided: • Ongoing training and support provided throughout your assignment
