Shure UK – Specialist Sr, Workplace and Security

Overview
Join our Workplace and Security team in the UK to support our Regional Distribution Centre in Waltham Abbey and the London Customer Experience Centre. You will coordinate facilities management, projects, health & safety, and sustainability activities, assisting the Senior Manager, Workplace and Real Estate, and travel to oversee works and projects at UK locations.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance across UK locations as the primary key-holder.
* Oversee day-to-day running of locations and travel to supervise works and projects.
* Ensure facilities are safe and compliant; support health & safety activities, including fire risk and safety documentation.
* Oversee hard and soft services (cleaning, landscaping, waste disposal, lift and security system maintenance) and manage contracts for electrical, gas, printers, and coffee machines.
* Handle UK help-desk requests (maintenance, access cards, desk setups) and resolve tasks promptly and courteously.
* Conduct facility inspections, compliance checks, statutory testing, and address equipment alarms and failures.
* Coordinate with insurance surveyors and fire risk assessors; develop and execute action plans.
* Oversee the UK H&S committee, fire drills, Fire Marshal duties, and First Aid training; maintain safety documents and produce reports.
* Develop vendor relationships to ensure high service levels and rapid response to issues; manage procurement and maintenance of office supplies, furniture, appliances, and essentials.
* Collaborate with Shure’s Global Workplace & Security team on projects, including after-hours work; foster positive relationships with neighbouring businesses and community groups.
Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in a related field and 5 years of work experience in a similar role.
* Experience selecting and applying best practices to ensure Workplace and Security compliance.
* Problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to work under own initiative.
* Experience working with vendors and delivering high-quality customer service.
* Excellent IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail.
* Experience in construction, mechanical, air conditioning, or electrical systems.
* Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
