About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to experiment with a wide range of materials, techniques and artistic styles. You will contribute to curriculum planning, exhibitions and enrichment opportunities that celebrate student creativity.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver stimulating and well-structured Art lessons aligned with curriculum and GCSE requirements
* Teach a broad range of disciplines including drawing, painting, mixed media and digital art
* Assess, track and report on student progress effectively
* Create a visually inspiring classroom environment that celebrates student work
* Organise displays, exhibitions and enrichment activities
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom organisation
* Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4
* Strong portfolio of artistic practice and subject knowledge
* Ability to motivate and stretch learners of all abilities
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
* Legal right to work in the UK
