The Role
We are looking for Night Residential Support Workers to join our team. This is a vital role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of children and young people overnight. While some of the shift is quieter, it's no less important your presence, consistency, and care will help create a stable environment where young people feel safe and secure.
Key Responsibilities
As a Night Residential Support Worker, you will:
* Safeguard children and young people throughout the night, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
* Provide nurturing, trauma-informed care and be available to offer reassurance if a child wake distressed or unsettled.
* Carry out domestic duties to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
* Keep accurate records, logs, and reports to ensure consistent communication between day and night staff.
* Support care plans and routines so that children have stability and continuity of care.
* Work as part of a small, supportive team, handing over to day staff effectively at the end of each shift.
* Contribute to a nurturing, positive culture within the home at all times.
Skills & Experience
* Experience working in children's residential care is desirable.
* A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach.
* Ability to work calmly and effectively during quieter periods as well as in challenging situations.
* Good written and spoken English for accurate record-keeping.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
