Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging risks and opportunities affecting raw materials, suppliers, geographies, climate patterns, water scarcity, supply/demand shifts, geopolitical landscapes, disease, and biodiversity. Quantify and monitor risk indicators, through self-led identification & assessment and using business network, feeding into business‑wide risk assessments and Security of Supply dashboards. Support the development of automated, objective risk formulas for supply, price, and brand risk inputs. Work with Technology to ensure data tools, platforms, and inputs are up to date, accurate, and reflective of the fast‑changing risk environment. Long‑term, collaborate as tools transition to Data Science ownership. Prepare analytical outputs for Security of Supply reviews, category plans, and NWT discussions. Provide high‑quality data and insight to the wider product teams to help build category‑specific Security of Supply Plans. Assist in shaping 2–3 year and 10‑year SoS strategies, ensuring risk insights translate into actionable priorities. Coordinate reactive event responses during unforeseen disruption (e.g., shortages, weather shocks, disease outbreaks), working cross‑functionally to capture information. Track line‑level impacts, risk severity, COGS exposure, and timelines for response. Support on identification of areas of patterns in reactive risk events and work with Security of Supply Manager to influence targeted monitoring and pre-emptive actions Assist with day‑to‑day management of the SoS workstream, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and follow‑up actions. Provide structured analysis and clear storytelling to enable decision‑making at pace. Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex datasets. Ability to interpret global risk signals and translate them into practical sourcing implications. Excellent communication and presentation skills. A collaborative working style, comfortable working across functions and influencing without authority. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Experience in supply chain, commodities, buying, risk, analytics, or sustainability. Familiarity with climate, geopolitical, supply/demand, or price‑based risk indicators. Curiosity and eagerness to learn about global systems affecting product availability.
