Social Care Community Engagement (SCCE) is seeking outstanding Social Workers to join us at a pivotal time of growth and innovation. We are looking for practitioners who are experienced, confident in their professional identity, curious about learning, and motivated to lead change at the cutting edge of adult social care practice. Are you a skilled and experienced Social Worker, registered with Social Work England, eager to join a forward-thinking team that embraces change and is passionate about empowering people to remain independent, resilient, and well? Our practice is rooted in the principles of Human Learning Systems, focusing on relational, values-driven approaches that adapt to each individual’s unique circumstances. This means engaging deeply with people, listening to what matters to them and connecting them with resources and opportunities that enable early intervention and avoid unnecessary admission to acute settings. We are seeking professionals with a strong background in adult social work, capable of managing complex cases and demonstrating thorough knowledge of the Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005), and safeguarding. Excellent time management and IT proficiency are essential. You will collaborate closely with a diverse range people across all sections of Norfolk’s communities, liaising with working in collaboration with internal and external professionals, including Social Workers, Assistant Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, NHS colleagues, District Councils and partner organisations across the community. Success in this role depends on your ability to build productive and trusted relationships that are inclusive and foster progress, not only for the individuals you support but also among your professional peers. We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers (grade J and above) new to Norfolk County Council. Amount to be repaid in full should you leave within two years of employment.
