People Advisor
Responsibilities
* Act as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, such as conflicts and grievances, in a fair and timely manner.
* Provide guidance to managers on performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
* Assist in the resolution of performance-related issues, guiding managers on performance management policy and procedures.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date HR records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
* Prepare regular HR reports and analytics to inform decision‑making and identify trends.
* Collaborate with management to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
* Support the development and implementation of HR policies that align with legal requirements and industry standards.
* Stay up‑to‑date on employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
* Undertake any other reasonable duty as requested by the HR Business Partner from time to time.
Qualifications
* A recognised HR qualification, or equivalent professional knowledge gained through significant experience in a generalist HR role.
* Membership of CIPD (Assoc essential, working towards Chartered).
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards).
* Experience as an HR Adviser or in a similar HR role.
* Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
* Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem‑solving and conflict resolution abilities.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Self‑motivation, enthusiasm and results‑focus.
* Flexible, adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity.
* Negotiating with and influencing managers.
* Pragmatic and solution‑oriented.
* Committed to high standards and continuous improvement.
* AI fluency & learning mindset: actively use AI in day‑to‑day work, demonstrate strong curiosity about new technologies, and take ownership for continuously improving how they think, work, and deliver.
Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would work from our Leicester office on a hybrid basis. Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.
