Overview
Senior Social Worker - Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) role within an older adult mental health service. This is a contract role with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
* Manage a complex caseload of mental health clients aged 65 and older
* Develop and commission tailored care packages to meet individual needs
* Conduct safeguarding investigations to uphold client safety and wellbeing
* Monitor mental state for relapse or recovery and adjust care plans accordingly
* Participate in the Central AMHP team rota for assessments and decisions under the Mental Health Act
Candidate Requirements
* HCPC registration as a Social Worker
* Proven experience working with mental health clients, particularly older adults
* Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act and safeguarding procedures
* Excellent assessment and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

* Competitive pay rate of £34.09 umbrella per hour inclusive of Holiday pay or £27.09 PAYE excluding holiday pay
* Contract length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
