About the Role
An Outstanding school in Barnet is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Business & Economics Teacher to deliver their University Foundation Programme. This is a temporary, part-time position requiring teaching for 3 mornings per week, commencing in April. The successful Business & Economics Teacher will play a key role in preparing students for university-level studies.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Business & Economics Teacher lessons within the University Foundation Programme curriculum.
* Teach core concepts in both Business and Economics to a high standard.
* Prepare students for assessments and programme completion.
* Foster a supportive and stimulating learning environment conducive to university preparation.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Collaborate with the programme coordinator and other staff as needed.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience in teaching Business and Economics at secondary or post-16 level.
* Strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of university-level expectations.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to engage and motivate students preparing for higher education.
* Flexibility to work 3 mornings per week.
* Inner London Payscale (pro-rata for part-time hours).
