Overview
Family Support Coordinator – Greater Manchester. Rainbow Trust Children's Charity is growing our team to reach more families in need. The role supports our care teams in delivering a high-quality family support service in the region, working with families and professionals to ensure access to needed services.
Responsibilities
* Support care teams to deliver the family support service in the Greater Manchester region.
* Source practical goods and services, and assist with applying for grants and benefits.
* Collaborate with other charities or community providers to obtain goods, equipment or funds for families Rainbow Trust cannot provide directly.
* Build strong networks with health, education, social care professionals and other organisations to provide meaningful assistance to families.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications and Experience)
* Professional experience in an administrative or coordinator role; experience in health, social care, youth or education settings within a charity environment is particularly welcome.
* Friendly, socially-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with a wide range of people.
* Well-organised with high attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities within established systems.
* Practical, helpful, and supportive; able to work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy; proficient in MS Office.
* Persuasive and motivating communicator; inclusive in decision-making; able to build and maintain external relationships and networks.
* Practical knowledge of diversity issues affecting children and families; responsive to others’ needs and concerns.
