As Deputy Manager, you'll be the driving force supporting the Registered Manager, leading shifts, guiding the staff team, and creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can thrive.

About the Home
Supporting up to five young people aged 11-17
Ofsted Rated GOOD
EBD-focused, helping young people who have experienced trauma, instability, or disrupted relationships
Stable staffing team with strong leadership support
A nurturing environment built around consistency, communication, routines, and emotional safety
About the Role
Lead staff through daily routines, ensuring best practice across care delivery
Support the Registered Manager with audits, compliance and Ofsted preparation
Act as a strong role model for trauma-informed and relational care
Build meaningful, secure relationships with young people
Lead and mentor the team, including supervisions and shift leadership
Support with rotas, budgeting and administrative tasks
Ensure safeguarding is embedded across all areas of the home
Step up in the Manager's absence and take ownership of decision-making
Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years' experience in a children's residential home (Senior or Deputy level)
Level 3 in Children & Young People (minimum)
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
Experience supporting EBD or trauma-impacted young people
Confidence leading shifts and supervising staff
Experience with rotas, record keeping, and service standards
Full UK driving licence
