Person Specification
Knowledge and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Part 1, 2 or relevant section of the register
* Teaching/Assessment programme
* Relevant post-registration headache training programme
* Working towards or having completed the neuro-course (or equivalent)
Experience
* Demonstrate relevant experience in same specialty at Band 6 or above (SO)*
* Demonstrate experience in running CGRP clinics.
Skills and Abilities
* Demonstrates evidence of ability to educate others
* Willing to provide support to other clinical areas within the division
* Demonstrates awareness of resource management issues within boundaries of role
* Competency and experience in performing Botulinum toxin injections for migraine.
* Competency and experience in performing multiple cranial nerve block injections for headache disorders
* Demonstrates up to date knowledge and expertise in the specialty
* Previous experience in audit and evaluation
Communication
* Demonstrates awareness of the importance of working in a multi-disciplinary team
* Communicates effectively verbally, in writing and in electronic formats
* Communicates with patients and carers in an empathetic manner
* Demonstrates understanding of good practice in Customer Care
Personal and People Development
* Demonstrates evidence of professional development in line with KSF, maintains updated Portfolio
* Demonstrates an awareness of the role of preceptor/facilitator
* Reflective in Practice
* Demonstrates evidence of ability to educate others
* Demonstrates up to date knowledge and expertise in the specialty
