Role Purpose
The Industry Market Unit Director for Manufacturing is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, growing, and executing HSO's manufacturing go‑to‑market strategy. The role brings manufacturing industry expertise together with a modern understanding of Microsoft's cloud, data, and AI‑driven business applications to drive measurable business outcomes for clients.
This role leads with industry and business process rather than technology alone. Manufacturing organisations are increasingly focused on resilience, supply‑chain visibility, sustainability, and data‑driven decision‑making. The IMU Director ensures HSO's manufacturing proposition aligns to these priorities while leveraging the full Microsoft ecosystem.
Scope and Accountability
* Full P&L and revenue responsibility for the Manufacturing IMU
* Ownership of key manufacturing accounts and long‑term account development strategies
* Executive‑level engagement with manufacturing clients and partners
* Leadership of business consultants, solution architects, and virtual teams aligned to Manufacturing
* Contribution to UK and Group‑level industry strategy and growth plans
Key Responsibilities
* Industry and market leadership, including defining and evolving HSO's Manufacturing industry proposition and acting as HSO's senior Manufacturing representative with customers, Microsoft, and industry bodies
* Go‑to‑market and sales enablement through driving manufacturing‑specific initiatives, campaigns, account strategies, and supporting bid and sales activity
* Solution and capability development across Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, Customer Engagement, Power Platform, Azure data, analytics, AI, and Copilot
* Client and delivery oversight, including maintaining long‑term executive relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and value realisation
* Leadership and collaboration across IMU Directors, Solution Line Directors, and Shared Services
Key Requirements
* Significant experience within the Manufacturing sector
* Strong understanding of manufacturing trends including supply‑chain resilience, smart manufacturing, and sustainability
* Strong understanding of enterprise technology landscapes, including cloud, data, and AI
* Ability to engage and influence at executive (C‑level)
* Strong commercial, leadership, and P&L management capability

Location
This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home combined with office collaboration as required.
Hours
Normal office hours are 09:00 to 18:00 (with one hour for lunch).
