Full-time Nanny, Vauxhall, London An experienced and nurturing nanny is required for a lovely family based in Vauxhall/ Battersea, caring for two children: a 10-month-old and a 3.5-year-old girls. Their last nanny of three years is moving on, so they’re looking for a new person to join them for the long term. The youngest child is in a great routine and the eldest attends nursery 5 mornings per week (term time only). Key Details: Hours: 50 hours per week (8:30am - 6:30pm) Overtime: Travel (4 weeks over the year) some babysitting and proxy parenting Salary: £45 - 58k basic (DOE) Location: Vauxhall (10 minutes from station) Position Type: Live-out or Live-in Live-in is en suite room on top floor Main Responsibilities: School runs for 3.5-year-old Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children Managing children's routines and activities Maintaining open communication with parents Ensuring age-appropriate development activities and play for both children Supporting the baby's milestones (crawling, walking, early language) Facilitating social interactions and playdates Managing nap schedules and bedtime routines Organising and supervising outdoor activities and park visits Supporting early learning through reading, songs, and educational play Keeping track of both children's developmental progress Organising and maintaining children's wardrobes and rooms Additional Requirements: Availability for 3-4 weeks of travel throughout the year Proxy parenting duties for three long weekends annually (approximately 4 days each) Ability to work collaboratively with a housekeeper (present 3 days/week) Up to date enhanced DBS check, references and Right to Work in the UK Ideal Candidate: Loving and patient disposition Strong ability to set and maintain appropriate boundaries Flexible approach to work (happy to pick up extra hours) Experience in preparing healthy meals for children Prior experience working as a private nanny Driving license would be advantageous but not essential The family is looking for someone who can become a valued part of their household while maintaining professional standards.
