The Opportunity
We are excited to welcome a dedicated Private Client Solicitor to our growing team at our Frodsham Office. In this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic team, working on a diverse range of private client matters, including Will Drafting, Probate/Estate Administration, Tax Advice, Trust Administration, Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection/Deputyship cases.
Responsibilities
* The conduct of Private Client matters on behalf of clients.
* To manage all client work allocated by the Head of the Department or any other Director and in accordance with the detailed procedures and quality standards.
* The management, supervision and development of Private Client Assistants and any other support staff for whom you are responsible.
* To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
* At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.
* To ensure confidentiality and security of all the firm’s and client documentation and information.
* To achieve any agreed level of individual or departmental billing and time recording in line with the firm’s business plan.
* In close contact with the Accounts Department to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters and have a thorough understanding of the firm’s accounting procedures.
* Maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.
* Participate in marketing activities, and be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.
* Ensure compliance with quality control and risk management procedures for all matters within your control.
* Deputise or assist other colleagues with their workload when needed or provide cover for annual leave or sickness.
* To maintain good working relationships with third parties, external institutions and other bodies.
* To take responsibility for and attend self-development; comply with relevant training requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Qualifications
* Admitted to the Solicitors Roll.
* Minimum of two years experience in Private Client Law.
* To undertake and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the Private Client Department.
* To assist with the successful development of the firm in line with the business plan.
* Excellent IT and typing skills.
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
* The ability to manage and supervise junior members of staff and delegate accordingly if asked to do so.
* Exceptional keen eye for detail.
