Job Summary
We are looking to recruit a Newly Qualified Nurse, or an experienced nurse wishing to pursue a career in general practice, providing health and wellbeing advice, care and treatment to our patients. This post is a training opportunity supported by the VTS programme with South Yorkshire Primary Care, Workforce and Training Hub.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver practice nursing services care to the population the practice serves.
* Support patients to be healthy, monitor long‑term conditions and engage in health prevention and screening activities.
* Work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet patient needs, support policy and procedures, and provide nurse leadership as required.
* Provide health and wellbeing advice across a wide variety of needs, including complex and chronic conditions, health screening, immunisation, vaccinations and treatment of all common health concerns.
Essential Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with current NMC PIN or pending.
* First level degree in nursing (or about to be awarded).
* Knowledge of quality assurance processes.
* Willingness to participate in the VTS programme with South Yorkshire Primary Care, Workforce and Training Hub.
Desirable Qualifications
* Understanding of the General Practice environment.
* Knowledge of audit processes in healthcare.
* Additional skills in phlebotomy, immunisations, vaccination, wound management, health screening, travel health advice.
* Use of primary care clinical systems including SystmOne, TPP and EMIS including audit and report writing.

Employment Details
* Contract: Permanent
* Working Pattern: Full‑time, up to 30 hours per week between 7am Monday and 6pm Friday (hours negotiable).
* Place of Work: The Burns Practice – 4 Albion Place, Bennetthorpe, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN1 2EG.
