I'm currently supporting an Manufacturing SME who have been through several years of growth and an acquisition, who are now looking to recruit a Buyer into their growing Purchasing function. They are industry leaders with strong backing and you'll be joining a brilliant local team.

Your new role
In this role, you'll be managing the procurement of all parts,ponents and materials for the manufacturing of goods. You'll be responsible for ensuring cost-effective and quality-focused sourcing of raw materials from a range of suppliers in Asia, Europe and domestically.
You'll work closely with the Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and Production teams to ensure that schedules are met to ensure that reliability and performance is delivered, whilst ensuring risks are mitigated and cost savings are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and payment terms with domestics and internal suppliers for raw materials andponents
• Work closely with Sales and Production to ensure inventory is available in line with manufacturing schedules
• Run weekly MRP reports to determine rmended replacement
• Implement supply chain risk mitigation strategies
• Drive cost reduction activities for new purchasing or existing contracts
• Manage and update SAP records
• Ensure procurements arepliant with import regulations, quality standards and ethical sourcing guidelines
• Monitor international market trends for material availability, cost fluctuations and supplier metrics
What you'll need to succeed
• Experience operating at a similar level in a Procurement role, ideally with around 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
• Understanding of purchasing raw materials orponents
•fortable using ERP / MRP systems, SAP being desirable
• Proficiency across the MS Suite, with strong Excel knowledge
• Excellentmunication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and suppliers
• CIPS Level 4+ would be advantageous
