Job Description
Brook Street is working in partnership with HMPPS North East Regional Office to find an Administrator to join their busy team.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
The pay rate is £11.44 per hour.
The assignment is until the end of March 2025, with a possibility of extension.
This is a regional role; the centralised listing team is located in prison premises outside the secure perimeter alongside HMP Durham. The team handles the listing of Prison to Court Video Links daily, covering Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland, Yorkshire, and Humber areas. The environment requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
The aim is to reduce unnecessary court productions by maximising Prison Court Video Link (PCVL) slots within prisons, reducing physical prisoner movements, and increasing operational efficiencies. The reduction in productions is facilitated by a challenge process introduced by the Centralised Listing Team (CLT), which assesses the necessity of prisoner court appearances.
This is a non-operational role.

The job holder should be competent in their area of work; specific qualifications or training will be detailed in the relevant job description.
This role may involve contact with prisoners depending on the area of work.
The role has no line management responsibilities.
