With a portfolio of projects with values that run into the £billion league, these are exiting times for Altrad. We are currently looking to recruit a number of experienced Controls and Instrumentation Engineers to support both our Nuclear New Build and Nuclear Defence sectors.
In these roles your remit will include;
• Responsible for all C&I and Telecoms engineering work, managing checking activities.
• Formulate resolutions and supervision of technically challenging and/or high-profile issues.
• Supervise, review, and check C&I activities including: Philosophies, Specifications, Schedules, Drawings & Diagrams, Datasheets and Technical Requisitions.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal / contract by raising technical queries with projects / client.
• Deliver Safety Lifecycle Documentation inline with IEC 61511
• Participate in multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews, providing all necessary C&I and Telecoms engineering input and support to close out of actions.
• Develop scope of work, plan / schedule and quantify engineering deliverables, resource, allocation and format of delivery ensuring execution of the work. Provides necessary regular project controls / reporting input to Project Management.
• Support procurement including Technical Requisitions, reviews vendor documentation, and provide Technical Bid Evaluation support to ensure design conformance.
• Manage quality issues ensuring compliance with the client's ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality Plan and Design Integrity processes and procedures.
Applications are eagerly sought from C&I professional engineering who have Design, Construction and Commissioning background who:
• Are BSc / BEng, qualified • Have a demonstrable track record of experience in industries such as Process, Energy, Petrochemical, FMCG, Oil and Gas.
• Have experience in the application of Control and Instrumentation design and engineering principles.
• Have skills in areas such as Electrical switchgear / motor control design, Process Instrumentation and Automation
• Have a sound knowledge of hazardous area control system design (i.e ATEX, IECEx, NEC), Functional safety design (EN13849 / EN62061), PromisE, E3 or EPlan electrical drawing packages.
