Overview
Alfred Barrow District Nurses is recruiting a permanent band 5 Community Nurse, primarily based in Furness with flexibility to relocate as service needs arise. The role involves delivering high‑quality care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions in the community setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake complex nursing assessments and develop programmes of care for patients and carers.
* Deliver patients and carers with evidence‑based, holistic nursing care.
* Support the Sister/Team Leader in leading the team, supervising, directing staff and delegating workload according to staff skills.
* Collaborate with health and social care colleagues, voluntary sector and informal carers to promote excellent care in patients’ homes and community settings.
Work Pattern
The service operates 24‑hour coverage. Regular weekends, bank holidays, evening shifts and occasional nights will form part of the rota.
