Job Overview
We are recruiting for a Planner to join the team at an established regional business near Southampton to manage schemes up to GBP20 million. The contractor is an established regional business operating across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex on negotiated and single stage bids up to GBP30 million. Their sweet spot is the GBP8 to GBP20 million scheme and they work across education, care, student, leisure and retail as well as industrial schemes. Turnover is secured through to 2029 with other opportunities in the pipeline and they have just been awarded two new schemes to start in July this year.
Responsibilities
* Primarily work with the bid and estimating teams to help establish best practice and accurate forecasting at tender stages.
* Produce scope of works and bills of quantities.
* Assess and manage subcontractor responses and proposals.
* Analyse subcontractors’ programmes and critical paths and produce a master programme for each scheme.
* Support client meetings and liaise with external professional bodies.
* After bidding and winning, sense‑check the Project and Contract Managers’ look‑ahead programmes and ensure subcontractors and the site team are on target.
* Work closely with the PM and delivery team to achieve the best results for the company.
