The Role
As a Conveyancing Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting fee earners across a broad range of conveyancing matters. Your duties will include:
* Opening and closing files, preparing legal documentation, and handling correspondence
* Managing SDLT returns and Land Registry applications
* Assisting with exchanges, completions, and post-completion work
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors
* Providing administrative and diary support to the team
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Previous experience as a conveyancing assistant/secretary
* Knowledge of the full residential conveyancing process (sales, purchases, freehold, leasehold)
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication and client care skills
* The ability to thrive in a busy, team-based environment
