Role Overview
This role supports the Head of Audit (HoA) EMEA by:
1. driving and delivering a portfolio of high-quality risk-based audit services across the business; and
2. assisting in the management of strategic relationships with key GIA stakeholders by ensuring the risks associated with latest business plans are fully considered and by providing independent opinion and assurance on the strength of the control framework and the effectiveness of business risk management.
Role Responsibilities
3. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality audit reporting to time and cost budgets. The GIA function delivers approximately 45-55 audit assignments per year.
4. Primary accountability to the audit leads, with responsibility for audit execution within that portfolio.
5. Travel (approx. 20% depending on portfolio) is a requirement of this role, as deemed necessary, to complete audit engagements and to fulfil stakeholder engagement, building deep relationships. There is no requirement to speak language(s) spoken in EMEA, however you must have a strong appreciation of the broad range of cultures across the region.
Experience / Competences
Essential
6. Prior governance experience with a background in Audit, Risk, Compliance or a similar controls role
7. Qualified with either ACA, ACCA, CISA, CISM or similar
8. Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive approach
9. Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
10. Client Focused - Personable and engaging, able to communicates effectively, build relationships and networks with both internally and externally wherever possible
