An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate, dynamic, and experienced nurse to join our specialist respiratory team as a Lung Clinical Nurse Specialist, Band 7 at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
The NNUH lung cancer service is led by Dr Russell Phillips, a Nurse Consultant, and a team of experienced clinical nurse specialists.
This role plays a pivotal role in delivering expert nursing care to patients with lung cancer, and requires advanced clinical knowledge, leadership, and coordination skills.
We are seeking an experienced, initiative‑taking, registered nurse who is passionate about respiratory nursing, to join our lung cancer team, providing support to patients and their families with lung cancer, pleural disease, and mesothelioma.

Core responsibilities:
* Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the speciality of lung cancer and mesothelioma by providing information, support, advice and specialist knowledge to patients, their families and carers, and to act as a resource to the multi‑professional team.
* Participate in the coordination of patient care to ensure continuity throughout the patient’s care pathway.
* Be pivotal in review and development of the service, and to reflect the needs of the patient group.
* Liaise closely with the health care teams of in‑patient wards, outpatient department and primary care, including consultant physicians and GP’s.
* Demonstrate wide and in‑depth experience of all aspects of lung cancer and mesothelioma, exercising clinical leadership and effective education within their sphere of practice.
