We currently have the following posts available, all of which encompass early, late and mid shifts with sleepover components; x1 37 hours x1 27 hours x1 18 hours x2 Relief (0 hours) About the service We support 5 people to live independently in their own individual homes and in all aspects of their daily lives. Each individual has their own unique needs including, but not limited to learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, deaf-blindness, and cerebral palsy. Here at Walton Mill the support we provide is led by the amazing individuals we support and they choose how we can best support them to achieve their dreams both at home and in the wider community, which they are an important part of. We understand that life is about more than just support and care it s about enjoyment, fulfilment and meaningful experiences. Each individual has their own interests and hobbies and you will be supporting them to engage in the activities they have planned, as well helping them to find new activities and social events in their community. This may include walking groups, drumming, dancing, karaoke, arts and crafts, horse riding, swimming, trampolining, going out for lunch or to the pub, a show or a concert, going on holiday and much more. You will; Assist the people we support in their own homes with personal care, housework, administering medication, meal preparation, supporting with finances, and seek out and attend meaningful activities in the community. Undertake extensive, person specific training Liaise with families, guardians and other professionals to ensure we are providing the best quality care. Promote independence and individuality, social inclusion and achievement of goals. Maintain accurate up to date daily recordings for activities/tasks, health and wellbeing, medication and finances. Work effectively as part of a team and communicating with the staff team, the people we support, their families and other professionals.
