Overview

The Managing Partner, Performance is responsible for overseeing our regional digital activation team, and providing digital leadership to one Europe\'s largest facecare and CPG companies. This is a leadership role within the agency, to ensure we deliver best in class digital and performance media excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring the regional delivery (34 markets) of digital media strategies and execution, driving connected strategies across branding, performance media and ecommerce, and aligning to our client\'s business priorities. You will be defining and driving the digital transformation and innovation agenda, ensuring we stay at the forefront of digital marketing. This client is a leader in digital precision marketing and pushing the boundaries of skincare and CPG digital marketing. We have designed an operating model that sees a central digital hub drive operational consistency, media efficiency and tactical innovation across the markets. You will be leading a team of 30 specialists across social, programmatics and connected commerce and a delivery centre of 25 media performance specialists, driving a high performance culture focused on exceeding client results and expectations. The role sits within the global (North America & Europe) account leadership team and involves working closely with your US counterpart and global leads, to enable the next phase of digital transformation for this client. You will work and report into the Regional Capability Lead and work in collaboration to the Global Network team to ensure the client business needs are met. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, a problem-solver, with a proven background in performance media to deliver best service for the client. We would prefer a candidate that has grown with in-platform experience, who can talk fluently to both client side strategic leads as well as technical specialists. A proven track record of delivering multi-market digital excellence, and an understanding of what great media operations looks like. Responsibilities

* Key client stakeholder management across regional client functions and market cluster client teams; This role will work with multiple seasoned senior level experts across our organisation and key client stakeholders (Media, Creative, Analytics, etc) driving connection and knowledge sharing.
* Driving the strategic and tactical output of the Digital Activation Hub, supporting the shaping of a market leading digital agenda across Europe, defining key priorities and workstreams at a regional level.
* Working in collaboration with client leadership, strategy and planning functions to ensure digital strategies are aligned with the regional agenda and platform best practices
* Strategic digital lead for global partnerships focused on driving innovation, business acceleration and actively identifying new opportunities to benefit the business
* Ensuring we hit agency commitments - investment and buying commitments that have been locally aligned, or performance marketing and optimisation commitments (demonstrating how OMD\'s optimisations have a tangible benefit to KPI improvement over a six week flight)
* Deliver thought leadership and clear point of views in every opportunity - the ideal candidate will have a strong data literacy as well as digital acumen and is able to rapidly respond to client inquiry
* Leadership and people management of full digital activation team, including direct line management of Executive Directors and channel leads
* Building a digital community and strong collaboration across the regions and local markets
* Collaboratively define the key priorities and workstreams for the client at a regional level
* P&L and SOW ownership across all performance media workstreams for Digital Activation Hub, and oversight/support on locally owned digital scope
* Additionally, you will be a part of the OMD EMEA Performance Community leadership, helping define our key priorities as an agency, contributing to internal priorities, workstreams and knowledge sharing
* Demonstrable experience managing digital media; Proven background in performance media, with expertise across paid search, paid social, programmatic, direct display and ecommerce, with a depth of specialism in at least one
* Proven ability to independently manage multiple departments and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of media agency ecosystem
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to apply different communication styles in different situations
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills with cultural agility to interact with a global network
* Strong attention to detail
* Activation experience, coupled with strategic expertise
* Excellent team management
* Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment, manage and influence key stakeholders including executive team members to ensure successful project deployment and delivery
* You will be very comfortable managing relationships with clients and colleagues, and will have experience managing a team of specialists, working with them to ensure efficiency of output and quality of work.
* Whilst you may not have been hands on within all of the digital channels, you will have specialised in one field and understand the work required to activate digital campaigns.
* We are looking to you to be a leader in the performance team, overseeing output of the department for your clients
* You will need to have a solid understanding of the basic principles within all paid for digital channels (Display, Search, Social).
* You will have experience planning digital campaigns across paid for channels and an understanding of audience generation/selection (via 3rd parties) or collection (via adserver/pixel/DMP etc)
* You will have an in depth understanding of KPI selection within paid for digital media channels
* You will have an understanding of bid management platforms and how they can help optimise within channel
* You will have experience managing people and developing their careers through an in-depth learning program.
* You will have experience activating media and therefore an understanding of best practice across campaign setup, QA, reporting, insight generation and finance
* You will have an understanding of brand safety and fraud prevention techniques
* You will ensure the relevant team members across your team engaged and delivering the highest possible quality of work.

Our standard working hours are 9:30 - 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 - 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that\'s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
