We are a well-established and highly regarded law firm with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Legal Secretary to join our busy Dispute Resolution team.
The Role
You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners within the Dispute Resolution department, assisting with a broad range of contentious matters. This is a fast-paced and varied role requiring excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Audio and copy typing of legal correspondence and court documents
* Preparing, formatting and filing court bundles
* Managing diaries, scheduling meetings and arranging conferences
* Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and third parties
* Filing documents at court (including e-filing where required)
* Opening and closing files, ID checks and compliance procedures
* Managing billing processes and assisting with time recording
* General administrative support to the team
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Dispute Resolution or Litigation
* Strong knowledge of court procedures and legal documentation
* Excellent typing and IT skills (including Microsoft Office and case management systems)
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Professional and confident communication skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
