An independent flood risk and environmental consultancy is seeking a Flood Modeller / Hydrologist to support a growing portfolio ofplex UK and international water-related projects. You'll join a distributed team across the UK working on drainage and flood risk challenges across private development and infrastructure sectors.
Your new role
The main responsbilties of this role will include:
1. Produce detailed Flood Risk Assessments aligned with Scottish planning policies
2. Develop and review 1D/2D hydraulic models using industry-standard tools
3. Undertake hydrological analyses ( WINFAP, ReFH2, FEH statistical methods)
4. Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies
5. Translate technical modelling into accessible client reports
What you'll need to succeed
6. Degree in Geography, Environmental Management or Engineering
7. 4+ years of UK-based industry experience is essential.
8. Proficiency in flood modelling software such as Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TuFLOW
9. Prior experience engaging with SEPA and understanding of NPF4 policies
10. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills
