I have partnered with an independent consultancy who are actively seeking a Town Planner. This consultancy are playing a big part in the regeneration of Manchester and it's safe to say they have some of the most exciting projects in the city to be part of. It's a non-corporate environment, with approachable and hands on leaders to learn from who have invaluable experience and exposure within the industry. They're a social team who are not only frequently attending industry awards evenings but often nominated and winning.
Responsibilities:
* Lead on smaller planning applications and assist senior team members on larger projects
* Assist with the drafting of planning statements and supporting planning documents
* Conduct desktop research and site appraisals to assess development opportunities
* Engage with clients early in your career, gaining exposure to meetings and project discussions
* Demonstrate strong report writing skills and the ability to produce high-quality planning documentation
* Be a confident communicator and a proactive team player
* Show initiative and a willingness to get involved and contribute from the outset

If you have recently passed your APC, or have been working at Planner level and are ready for that step up to Senior, this is definitely worth considering.
