Bury Council’s Adult Learning Service is seeking to recruit a Learner Services Officer. Promoting adult learning is at the heart of Bury’s LET’S Do It! 2030 Strategy, which aims to deliver inclusive economic growth and reduce deprivation across the borough.
Role Overview
Joining the Learning Support team provides an opportunity to develop and deliver Information, Advice, and Guidance services to Bury residents, supporting their journey into learning or work. Responsibilities include conducting initial screenings and assessments to identify skills development needs, managing the Learner Support Fund for learners in financial hardship, and engaging in promotional and referral activities with external partners.
Candidate Profile
We seek someone with experience in delivering information, advice, and guidance, and developing effective action plans to support individuals in achieving their goals. The ideal candidate will embody our LET’S Do It! values and support our mission to deliver excellent adult education for all communities in the borough.
Position Details
The role is for 37 hours per week, based at the Adult Learning Centre in Bury, with flexible working arrangements to meet service demands.
