We are looking for an immediately available, meticulous and organised Finance Assistant to join a busy Accounting & Finance department based near Chipping Norton for a 6 month fixed‑term contract. This is a transactional role that focuses on supporting financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports
* Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
* Assist with journal postings
* Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies where necessary
* Support the month‑end and year‑end financial close processes
* Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
* Provide support to the Accounting & Finance team on ad‑hoc projects
* Maintain organised and up‑to‑date financial documentation and filing systems
* Liaise with suppliers and internal teams confidently
Qualifications
* Experience in a high volume, transactional role
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Ability to work well under pressure
* An understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
* The ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Excellent communication skills
* Immediate availability (or on short notice)
