About the Role: The Financial Controller will play a key role in overseeing financial operations across multiple entities, including venue operations,partnerships, and central costs. This is a hands-on leadership position, combining day-to-day financial management with reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement. Working closely with operational leadership, FP&A, and international stakeholders, you will ensure financial accuracy, support decision-making, and drive improvements in processes and controls. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop members of the finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture. Promote accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the team. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting accuracy. Leverage automation and technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Support wider business initiatives and cross-functional projects as required. Month-End Close & Balance Sheet Oversight Oversee month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journals. Ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies as needed. Maintain the integrity of financial data and reporting processes. Financial Reporting & Compliance Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting across all business divisions. Prepare statutory accounts and manage audit processes, tax filings, VAT, and other compliance requirements. Support group reporting requirements, including alignment with international standards. Forecasting, Budgeting & Financial Planning Work closely with FP&A to support budgeting and forecasting cycles. Provide insight into financial performance and variance analysis to aid decision-making. Assist with capital expenditure tracking and forward planning. What You Bring Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred. Demonstrated experience in a financial leadership role, ideally within a multi-entity environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Experience working with international or group reporting structures is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise. Exposure to process improvement, automation, or AI-driven finance tools is beneficial. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
