The Role
We are seeking an individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of our company, initially on a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension if the business needs require it. The role involves line-managing our business support apprentice and reporting to the Managing Director.
Key tasks include:
* Weekly Reporting – Using internal systems to create reports to assist the team
* Monthly invoicing – Ensuring that all projects are invoiced in line with correct processes
* Monthly Payroll – Including checking overtime, expenses, and pensions
* Maintaining company accreditations such as - ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO45003, Cyber Essentials and Cyber essentials + and Achilles UVBD silver. This includes leading external audits.
* Liaising with all interested parties of the organisation
* Continuous development and improvement of internal systems
* Health and Safety Committee – planning the meeting/agenda, minute taking and ensuring these are distributed to the team
* HR tasks – Serving as the primary point of contact for all employees, attending interviews, sending offers and contracts, and maintaining all internal systems to ensure they are kept up to date.
* Events & Marketing - Managing the company's presence at conferences and events and organisingbi-annual team events.

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Highly organised

* Ability to work with financial systems
* Computer literate – MS Word, Excel and SharePoint essential
* Ability to take initiative and come up with new ideas is desirable
* Assisting with implementing and driving forward processes, for example ISO9001
Base Location
Slaithwaite, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The individual must be able to work from the Slaithwaite office for the majority of the working hours. Slaithwaite is located on the main train line between Leeds and Manchester, and is one stop from Huddersfield.
Working Pattern

Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, which generally need to be worked during core office hours.
