SALARY: approx. £18,000 per annum depending on experience

COMPANY INFORMATION:
reemies is a small but growing London online bakery, born from the love of GOOD cake.
We service our web orders and wholesale from our commercial kitchen in Vauxhall, delivering all over London, within 48 hours. We plan to open a reemies brick and mortar bakery in 2024.
We supply to high end retailers and restaurants such as Harrods, Bayley & Sage, Panzers, Farmer J & Zapp.
With many variations, reemies dairy-free banana cake is one of the most loved, wholesome and delicious cakes around. reemies also offers an extended menu of similarly homely and tasty cakes, as well as simply decorated celebration cakes. We are all about the taste, no frills! High quality, humble & Moorish.
JOB ROLE BRIEF:
Initially 20 to 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (and occasional Saturdays), with afternoon shifts ranging from 4 to 6 hours.
We are seeking an experience, skilled and passionate part-time Baker to join our team. The role will begin with a part-time schedule but has the potential to evolve into a full-time position based on performance and business needs. During the initial training period of 2 to 4 weeks, the candidate will be required to work morning day shifts alongside the Head Baker.
As Baker, you will help with the daily production of all orders from start to finish. From preparing orders, baking, packing, labelling and providing orders on time.
You will work closely with a small team of 4 members, including the Head Baker and Owner.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· 3 years baking experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume production kitchen and with excellent discipline and standards
· Understand the importance of with food quality, consistency, food safety and kitchen hygiene
· Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene
· Understands allergens and labelling
· Excellent communication skills
· Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items according to recipes and quality standards
· Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and regulations.
· Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the bakery
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
· At least 3 years of baking experience with qualifications
· Previous experience working as a Baker or in a similar role preferred
· Must have a minimum of level 2 basic food hygiene certificate
· Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and work
· Able to work alone but also as part of a team
· Fluent English and right to work documentation
· Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
· Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
· Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
· Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
