Nursery Nurse SENCO – Level 3
* Annual Salary: £100 - £120 per day
* Location: Mitcham, South West London
* Job Type: Full-time, Long-Term or Permanent
Are you a compassionate, skilled, and proactive Early Years professional with strong SEN experience? We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Nursery Nurse SENCO to join a warm, inclusive, and well-established nursery setting in Mitcham. This role suits someone passionate about inclusive practice, early intervention, and ensuring every child thrives and reaches their full potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Lead and oversee SEN provision as the designated Nursery SENCO.
* Develop, review, and implement IEPs/Support Plans.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers.
* Liaise with external professionals (e.g., SALT, Health Visitors, local SEND teams).
* Monitor, assess, and document the progress of children receiving SEN support.
* Deliver targeted interventions and small-group activities.
* Support staff in embedding high-quality inclusive practice.
* Ensure compliance with all safeguarding, EYFS, and SEND policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
* Prior SENCO experience or strong experience supporting children with additional needs.
* Good working knowledge of the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
* A warm, patient, and child-centred approach.
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
