Band 6 Paediatric Nurse - Marlow-Based Role Supporting Pupil in Aylesbury - £200 to £300 per day - Long-Term Position We are recruiting an experienced Band 6 (or above) Paediatric Nurse to support a child with complex medical needs across both home and school settings. This long-term opportunity offers consistent hours and a highly rewarding role, with a competitive daily rate of £200 to £300, depending on experience. This position is based primarily in Marlow, with travel provided to the pupil's school in Aylesbury via ambulance - meaning you will not need to travel to Aylesbury independently. You only need to be able to reach Marlow each working day. Role Overview The successful Band 6 Paediatric Nurse will support the pupil across three key areas: 1. In-School Medical Support - Aylesbury (Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays | 9:00am to 3:00pm) Deliver clinical care in a school environment, supporting a pupil with complex medical needs. Work alongside education staff to ensure the child's safety, comfort, and inclusion. Monitor and manage the child's medical condition throughout the school day. 2. Travel Nurse Duties - Ambulance Transport Between Marlow and Aylesbury (Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays) Accompany the pupil in a private ambulance service alongside other staff each school day. Provide essential clinical care during the journey, including deep suction, which is not available through ambulance staff. You will be required to travel both to and from school as part of the child's care team. Please note: You do not need to travel to Aylesbury independently - you will join the ambulance team at the pupil's home in SL7, Marlow. 3. EOTIS Home-Based Learning Support - Marlow (Mondays & Fridays) Deliver a structured programme of pre- and post-learning activities in the pupil's home. Work in line with plans created by the school and an intervenor. Ensure the child's medical needs are safely managed during home learning. Essential Requirements Registered Band 6 or above Paediatric Nurse (essential). Fully trained and competent in deep suctioning (essential). Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). Experienced in acting as a second medical person during patient transport or emergency scenarios. Comfortable working both in home and school settings with children with complex needs. Able to commit to the following weekly schedule: Mondays & Fridays : Home-based in Marlow Tuesdays to Thursdays : Join ambulance team at SL7 and travel to/from school in Aylesbury.
