Gap Personnel who operate as an employment business are recruiting for a machine setter:
Ongoing work with permanent opportunities for the right candidate
Location: Nantwich CW5
Working hours: Monday to Friday weekly rotation 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm.
Pay: £14.16 per hour

Required Experience: The chosen candidate must have previous experience in a mechanical role.
Maintenance & Machinery Operations
- Perform routine maintenance on production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate and set up machinery as required for production runs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the production team to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest innovative solutions.
Problem Solving & Efficiency
- Analyse machinery issues and implement effective solutions.
- Work independently to meet production deadlines, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or machine setting environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Checking schedules.
- Operating packing machines.
- Setting machines.
- Labelling quantities for returns and materials.
- Prep paperwork and labels for each product and machine.
Candidate must be computer literate, able to work individually and part of a team.
