Technical Operative 1
Role: Technical Operative 1 (Configuration Department)
Location: Hatfield
Pay rate: £16.50/hr
Contract: 3-Month Rolling Contract
Security Clearance: SC Cleared (essential)
Initial Training: 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday (followed by various shift patterns)
We are looking for a proactive and reliable individual to provide effective and efficient support to our client's growing team. You will primarily provide basic to intermediate-level IT configuration services, including software installations and systems building, while also handling crucial data management tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Configuration: Performing software installations and configuration within existing IT infrastructures or pre-designed projects.
Systems Building: Building various systems using detailed scripts (full training provided).
Data Entry: Manual data input onto spreadsheets (expected to be 25-50% of the role), requiring exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Logistics: Boxing/unboxing IT equipment and consolidating consignments for distribution.
Effective Reporting: Maintaining strong and effective communication to report progress to Supervisors/Team Leaders and various stakeholders.
Work Management: Managing your workload efficiently and working towards driven targets and SLAs.
Essential Requirements:
SC Cleared status is mandatory.
Proven IT background and familiarity with IT componentry (e.g., hardware and current Microsoft desktop Operating Systems).
Demonstrable experience with data input and excellent attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work to driven targets/SLAs and effective time management skills.
Proactive attitude and a strong team-player mindset.
Flexibility to react to demand on short notice.
