Adecco are currently looking for a number of School Kitchen Assistants to work for our clients across Bolton on a casual basis. Duties: Assisting in the preparation of simple meals and snacks (e.g. sandwiches, salads, baked goods) Serving food to students and staff in a polite and efficient manner Operating the till and handling cash/card payments accurately Ensuring food hygiene and safety standards are maintained at all times Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces regularly Washing up and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area Assisting with stock rotation and checking deliveries Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the kitchen supervisor Supporting the cook or chef with basic food prep tasks Wearing appropriate protective clothing (e.g. apron, hairnet, gloves) Following school policies and procedures, including allergy and dietary requirements Helping with setting up and clearing away before and after meal serviceRequirements: Food hygiene knowledge (Level 2 Food Safety Certificate is preferred) Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment Experience using a till Basic numeracy skills (especially for operating a till and handling money) Ability to follow health and safety and food safety regulations Good communication and interpersonal skills Physical fitness to carry out manual tasks (e.g. lifting, standing for long periods) Reliability and punctuality Friendly and approachable manner, especially when interacting with childrenDesired Requirements: Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergens Understanding of safeguarding practices in a school setting Additional Information Job Type: Temporary, casual Days: Between Monday and Friday Hours: Various shifts available between the hours of 7am-3pm Hourly Rate: £12.21ph Why choose Adecco?
