On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are currently looking to appoint an outstanding KS2 teacher responsible for a Year 4 class in a beautiful suburb of Cheshire. This is a full-time role commencing September 2024 until the end of the academic year. About the Role
As the Year 4 teacher, you will manage a mixed-ability class of approximately 30 pupils. Strong curriculum knowledge and differentiation skills are essential. You will plan targeted interventions in core subjects for pupils not meeting expectations and work alongside a full-time TA experienced in Year 4.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake full class teaching responsibilities for a Year 4 class.
2. Deliver a balanced curriculum aligned with the National Curriculum, with a clear understanding of age-related expectations to support, challenge, and pitch learning appropriately.
3. Build positive relationships with pupils based on trust and respect, fostering a community where children take ownership of their learning.
4. Assess, record, and report on pupils' development, progress, and attainment, including monitoring social and emotional wellbeing.
5. Plan and evaluate targeted interventions across core subjects based on individual pupil targets.
6. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, sharing resources and best practices.
7. Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events within the local community.
