Forge Talent is partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed group that has expanded significantly through acquisition and is now managing increasing international complexity.
With multiple entities across the UK and overseas, the business is strengthening its Group Finance function to support continued growth and future exit readiness.
The Role
A senior, hands-on technical role focused on group consolidation, statutory reporting and technical accounting across a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
You will sit at Group level as the technical specialist, working closely with UK and international finance teams, senior leadership and external auditors to ensure reporting is accurate, compliant and robust as the organisation scales.
This role is ideally suited to a 2nd or 3rd mover ACA/ACCA with strong international consolidation experience in a complex group.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage group consolidations across multiple entities, jurisdictions and currencies
* Prepare group balance sheet and cash flow reporting as core deliverables
* Ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of group financial data and reporting outputs
* Produce annual group statutory accounts and supporting disclosures
* Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including UK GAAP and IFRS
* Support projects such as transitions between accounting frameworks
* Provide technical accounting guidance on complex reporting issues
* Maintain and develop group accounting policies and consolidation methodology
* Act as a key technical contact for the external audit, responding to queries and supporting delivery
* Coordinate inputs from UK and international finance teams during reporting cycles and audits
* Support tax reporting requirements, including preparation of provisions and analysis for advisers
* Maintain strong group reporting processes, controls and governance
* Identify and implement improvements to consolidation and reporting efficiency
* Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure timely, reliable reporting in a fast-paced environment
About You
* Fully qualified ACA or ACCA
* Strong experience in group reporting, consolidation or technical accounting
* Proven ability to manage multi-entity, multi-currency reporting environments
* In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS
* Comfortable operating in a hands-on, delivery-focused role
* Able to work independently while coordinating across multiple stakeholders
* Practice trained (Big 4 / Top 10 / strong mid-tier)
* 2nd or 3rd move into industry
* Experience in PE-backed or acquisitive businesses
* Exposure to UK GAAP → IFRS transitions
* Experience with consolidation systems
* Advanced Excel
