We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly early years team at Heathland's Community Pre-school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development within a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities in line with the EYFS curriculum
* Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children
* Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues
* Observe, assess and record children’s progress and development
* Support children’s personal, social and emotional development
* Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met
* Promote good behaviour and positive interactions
* Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, toileting and sleep routines
* Maintain accurate records and follow nursery policies and procedures
* Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the nursery environment
Requirements
Essential:
* Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare
* Good understanding of the EYFS framework
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A caring, patient and positive attitude
* Ability to work using own initiative
Desirable:
* Previous nursery or early years experience
* Paediatric First Aid qualification
* Food Hygiene certificate
