As a Housing Supply Officer, you will work with the market to improve the supply of TA and PRS Housing to fulfill the LA homelessness duties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Negotiating with managing agents and landlords to procure and renew various forms of leased temporary and settled accommodation to meet the needs of homeless clients.
2. Monitoring, maintaining, and ensuring all duties are completed to achieve procurement targets within deadlines.
3. Negotiating with managing agents, landlords, and tenants to procure and allocate suitable private rented accommodation as a homelessness prevention measure or to discharge duties for clients in temporary accommodation.
4. Ensuring all acquisition and housing data are accurately recorded on notes and IT systems.
5. Acting as a first point of contact, providing advice on landlord, managing agent, and tenant inquiries and complaints.
6. Carrying out all responsibilities in compliance with the Council’s Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
1. Good knowledge of current legislation related to property acquisition and leasing for TA and PRS Housing.
2. Knowledge of Housing Law (Landlord & Tenant).
3. Effective time and resource management to meet targets and deadlines.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to prioritize a heavy workload independently.
6. Experience working with multiple parties to achieve successful outcomes.
7. Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months; being on the update service may expedite the process.
