This is an exceptional opportunity for a Health and Safety Compliance Officer to join Housing & Assets.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Service, the remit includes working with the Departmental Management team on the continual development of a behavioural based Health and Safety culture. The Officer will ensure consistency and standardisation of Health and Safety to exceed customer and legislative demands, promoting best practice policies and processes. The role includes providing health and safety advice within the Direct Labour Organisation, as well as providing and supporting health and safety across the housing department.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be a proven Health and Safety professional with experience gained in a demanding social housing environment. The Officer will be robust and resilient and able to demonstrate well‑developed communication skills and an ability to lead and develop a progressive Health and Safety culture in a dynamic and demanding environment.
