As a Technical Sales Engineer at Honeywell in the NorthWest and Midlands region, you will work closely with the field service team and customers to identify needs, share knowledge about Honeywell solutions, and provide technically compliant quotations for complex reactive opportunities. This field-based role requires travel to customer sites or Honeywell offices within the region.
Honeywell Building Automation aims to transform building operations to improve safety, security, energy efficiency, and operational performance, enhancing the experience for building users.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Conduct customer site surveys, support customers, verify information, create estimates, follow up, and proactively seek sales opportunities.
2. Apply technical knowledge of fire systems throughout all project stages to ensure solutions meet customer needs and compliance standards.
3. Support Field Service Professionals and Supervisors with proposal generation for medium to high complexity opportunities and assist engineering teams in field execution.
4. Send proposals, follow up for feedback and approval, and maintain contact during and after project completion regarding finances and invoicing.
5. Build and maintain customer relationships to improve customer experience, achieve revenue and margin targets, and increase satisfaction.
Qualifications and skills:
1. Experience in building technologies, specifically fire systems service, maintenance, installation, or commissioning.
2. Technical knowledge of fire systems, preferably Honeywell products.
3. Experience in generating technical quotes and securing business.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
5. Commercial awareness and experience working in financially motivated environments.
