Responsibilities
* Loading and unloading of vehicles, and the use of the Front-Loading Shovel (FLS) and Fork Lift Truck (FLT) as required.
* Monitoring all areas of the plant during plant inspections. Operating the overhead crane for the systematic removal of waste and accessing all areas of the plant to check instruments, gauges, and to take readings and take actions as required.
* Effectively respond to planned and unplanned repairs, blockages and changes in the plant central systems.
* Promptly respond to system alarms/protocols to secure areas of the plant as required.
* Ensure plant cleaning schedules are fulfilled to a satisfactory standard.
* Work at height and in confined spaces.
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping on the plant at all times and demonstrate safe working practices in line with the Company\'s Health and Safety policy and procedures.
* Actively participate in fire drills and evacuation exercises.
* Report to management any contravention of statutory and company safe working practices, including accidents and incidents.
* Contribute to the Permit to Work (PTW) system and work towards acting as a competent person or similar role as required.
* Highlight necessary changes required within Plant Operating Instructions (POIs) and Risk Assessments.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with all departments.
* This list is not exhaustive; other ad hoc duties may be required.
Competencies & Qualifications
* Understanding/experience of operating in process-led environments.
* Experience/qualifications in the use of Fork Lift Truck (FLT).
* Ability to work at various height levels via stairs and ladders.
* Physically able to engage in varying amounts of manual handling/lifting.
* Experience of Front-Loading Shovel (FLS) vehicle is advantageous.
